ArcJet Systems

Corporations · Source: Fallout 4 in-game lore, ArcJet terminal entries

Overview

ArcJet Systems was a pre-war aerospace company headquartered in Boston, specializing in rocket propulsion. It was a key contractor for the U.S. space program, including the classified Operation Skyfall. Its ruins became the site of a Brotherhood of Steel mission in the Commonwealth.

History & Pre-War Operations

ArcJet developed advanced rocket engines and propulsion systems for government and commercial use. The company's flagship project, Operation Skyfall, involved a powerful thruster designed for orbital applications. When the war came, the facility was overrun, with its workers dead and its research unfinished.

Products & Technology

ArcJet's signature product was the Skyfall thruster, an experimental rocket engine of enormous power. The facility contained prototypes, guidance equipment, and launch infrastructure. The engine remained operational decades later, a testament to the durability of pre-war engineering.

Post-War Legacy

The Brotherhood of Steel's quest in Fallout 4 sent the Sole Survivor to ArcJet to recover technology, culminating in a dramatic engine ignition that destroyed the facility's interior. The recovered tech helped the Brotherhood's airship campaign. ArcJet's ruins remain a landmark of the Commonwealth.

Notable Appearances

ArcJet Systems appears in Fallout 4 (ArcJet Systems building and the Call to Arms quest). The facility is reachable early in the game and offers unique loot alongside its lore.
