The Triggermen
Factions & Armies · Source: Fallout 4 (2015)
Overview
The Triggermen are the Commonwealth's most stylish criminals — a Prohibition-era-dressed gang of fedora-wearing, submachine-gun-toting mobsters who run protection rackets from Goodneighbor to the ruins of Boston.
History & Background
The Triggermen modeled themselves on the gangsters of pre-war holotapes, complete with suits, Tommy guns, and a brutal code of business. They carved out territory across the Commonwealth, extorting settlements and muscling into the underworld, and for a time they controlled Goodneighbor's rackets outright.
Details & Timeline
2287: Triggermen crews hold the Old State House, Hub 360, and the tunnels beneath Boston, while Skinny Malone's crew operates out of Vault 114. In Goodneighbor, the gang's former boss Vic was killed by Fahrenheit before the Sole Survivor's arrival, leaving the town's Triggermen to answer to Hancock. The player can gun down their leadership or use them — as with Malone's deal over the vault's prisoner — to suit their own ends.
Wasteland Significance
The Triggermen show that organized crime survived the apocalypse in full regalia, and their reach into Goodneighbor and Vault 114 makes them a recurring obstacle and opportunity. Their control of the Old State House also keeps one of Boston's oldest landmarks firmly in criminal hands.
