Overview

The Alien Blaster is a Zetan energy pistol that fires exotic bolts of destructive energy. It is among the rarest and most powerful sidearms in the wasteland.

History & Development

The weapon originates with the Zetan aliens who have conducted abductions for centuries, as seen aboard Mothership Zeta. Crashed saucers in the Capital Wasteland, the Commonwealth, and Appalachia have yielded working examples. Its technology defies all human reverse-engineering attempts.

Technical Specifications

The blaster fires concentrated energy bolts from alien power cells, dealing exceptional damage with a distinctive discharge sound. It has no conventional maintenance requirements but cannot be recharged by human means. Its ammunition is found only near crash sites and aboard Zetan vessels.

Wasteland Usage & Variants

Wastelanders who find the blaster treat it as a prized artifact, with different games featuring slightly different bolt colors and damage profiles. The Wild Wasteland trait in the Mojave yields an alien encounter guarding one. It remains a legendary trophy weapon.
