Overview

The Gatling Laser is a rotary-barrel laser weapon that pours out continuous beams of energy, turning its wielder into a walking turret. It is the heavy weapon of choice for advanced military factions.

History & Development

The Gatling Laser was developed pre-war as a high-volume energy weapon, seeing service in the Anchorage campaign and military installations. The Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave both manufactured and fielded the weapon extensively. Its design has been continuously refined in the post-war era.

Technical Specifications

Six rotating barrels cycle rapidly, firing concentrated laser pulses in a sustained stream. It consumes energy ammunition at an alarming rate, whether microfusion cells or fusion cores, and takes time to spin up. Its sustained fire can shred armor and suppress entire squads.

Wasteland Usage & Variants

Brotherhood knights and Enclave soldiers carry Gatling Lasers as squad support weapons. Variants include the refined configurations in Appalachia and the Commonwealth's craftable versions. It is the definitive heavy energy weapon.
