Overview
Vault 34 was designed with no locks on any of its doors, including its overstocked armory — an experiment testing the consequences of total firearms access, featured in Fallout: New Vegas.
History & Background
The gun-crazed population quickly descended into armed chaos, and the vault tore itself apart in a civil war that left most residents dead and the survivors ghoulified by damage to the reactor. By 2281 the vault is a radioactive tomb crawling with feral ghouls, while its legendary armory — including unique weapons — draws scavengers willing to risk the journey.
Geography & Layout
The vault's interior is flooded with radiation, its corridors littered with skeletons and evidence of the fighting, with the armory containing some of the most powerful small arms in the game.
Wasteland Significance
Vault 34 is a darkly funny demonstration of Vault-Tec's social experiments, and its armory makes it a high-risk, high-reward destination for New Vegas players.
